What is a Play?

A Play is an executable outreach motion. It defines the campaign shape for a Run: goal, relationship state, channel mix, sequence structure, enrichment fields, and readiness checks. You do not build the motion from scratch. You pick the Play that matches your goal, create a Run from it, then add the lead source and message strategy before launch.

Browsing the Play Library

The Play Library is your workspace home screen. Each Play card shows:
  • Name and description - what the campaign is designed for
  • Category - the broad motion type
  • Goal - what the campaign is trying to achieve
  • Relationship state - whether the audience is cold, warm, stalled, or known
Use the filters at the top to narrow down by category, goal, or relationship state.

Selecting a Play

Click any Play card to open its detail view. You’ll see:
  • A full description of the campaign strategy
  • The sequence and channel shape for the motion
  • Tags that explain when the Play is useful
When you are ready, click Create run with play and name the Run.

If you already have a draft Run, Plera may let you replace its Play or create a new Run. Replacing the Play on a draft resets play-derived setup for that Run.

What comes next

After creating the Run, use lead discovery or another source to build the audience. Then create or select a strategy profile so generated messages have sender context, proof, tone, and a call to action.
