# Review a Sequence

## What is a Sequence?

A Sequence is the automated outreach plan for a Run. It defines which leads enter, which messages go out, which channel sends them, when they send, and what must be reviewed before launch.

Sequences are created from eligible enriched source groups. A Run can keep sequence state separate from its Play, lead discovery, and analytics.

## Sequence steps

Each step in a sequence has:

| Property      | Options                                             |
| ------------- | --------------------------------------------------- |
| **Channel** | Email, LinkedIn invite, or LinkedIn message |
| **Timing** | Number of days after the previous step |
| **Condition** | Always send, or only if the prospect hasn't replied |

**Example - LinkedIn-first sequence:**

| Step | Channel         | Timing | Condition |
| ---- | --------------- | ------ | --------- |
| 1    | LinkedIn invite | Day 0  | Always    |
| 2    | Email           | Day 3  | No reply  |
| 3    | Email follow-up | Day 5  | No reply  |
| 4    | Final email     | Day 7  | No reply  |

Step 1 sends immediately when a lead enters the sequence. Steps 2-4 fire automatically on schedule, but only if the prospect has not replied.

## Creating a sequence

To create a sequence:

1. Open the Run's **Sequences** page.
2. Click **Create sequence**.
3. Name the sequence.
4. Choose a strategy profile.
5. Select eligible enriched source groups.
6. Create the sequence and open the Messaging Lab.

## Message review

Before launch, use the Messaging Lab to:

* Generate previews
* Review AI-written messages
* Edit or approve messages
* Check readiness findings
* Select sender accounts

## How follow-ups work

When a prospect replies to any step, Plera detects the reply and stops sending further steps to that lead automatically. You don't need to manually remove them from the sequence.

Replies land in your unified inbox where you can continue the conversation manually.

## Sequence dashboard

The Sequences page is your campaign control centre. From here you can:

* Pick between sequences in the active Run
* Track how many leads are at each sequence step
* Open the Messaging Lab for generation, review, and launch
* Pause or resume the entire sequence
* Drill into individual leads and their outreach history

## Timing and scheduling

Messages are scheduled according to the delay defined in each step. By default, messages go out at 9am in the recipient's timezone where detectable, or your workspace timezone otherwise.

<Note>
  Plera respects sending limits to avoid triggering spam filters. Messages are spread throughout the day rather than sent in bulk at exactly 9am.
